2nd Annual #FindOutMyBreastDensityDay
Find Out My Breast Density Day 2022: Will inform and educate women worldwide about breast density as a risk factor for breast cancer.
It is a day for many voices to come together in unison for the benefit of women everywhere.
Most women are unaware that breast density increases their risk of breast cancer. Mammography alone will miss over 50% of cancers in dense breasts, leaving cancer to grow and to possibly spread.
For women with dense breast tissue, mammography alone is not enough. The goal is to empower women to find out their breast density, and to speak with their doctors about additional screening. It is time for more women with breast cancer to become survivors.
#FindOutMyBreastDensityDay will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022 on multiple social media channels and promoted in the press. There will be a live event with experts explaining breast density as a risk factor.
Partners (Companies, Groups, and Individuals): We will include your name and logo on our social media campaign and website. We will provide a "Find Out My Breast Density Day" social media post and information kit for you to share with your communities. These will include critical facts about breast density and its risk. If you wish, you may create your own post(s) to use for the day, but please be sure to use the hashtag #FindOutMyBreastDensityDay
My Density Matters is a nonprofit organization formed by Leslie Ferris Yerger after standard screening failed to catch her Stage IV breast cancer. The mission is to empower women to find out their breast density, learn their screening options, and take control of their breast cancer screening.
Please reach out to Leslie@mydensitymatters.org or Susan@mydensitymatters.org if you have any questions, or are interested in partnering on this event.
