Learning feeds curiosity and inspires us. But it’s action that creates change.

To bring our dreams to life, we must apply what we learn to the circumstances around us.
Earlier this month I attended a 2-day Global Leadership Summit (GLS) with fellow community leaders. The theme, “Lead Where You Are”, reminded us that transformation starts right where we stand.
“It’s your destiny to sit where you are with the circumstance you’re facing. Act: Amazing things will happen.”
– David Ashcraft (President and CEO Global Leadership Network)
Everyday people are the leaders who make the biggest difference. Transformation doesn’t happen overnight: it’s built through time, consistency, and a series of small, intentional steps.
Learning to TRUST
On Day 2 of the Summit, I woke up determined to connect with others about two initiatives close to my heart:
November 2025’s Compassion in Action project (from last month’s newsletter).
Women’s Health and breast cancer advocacy with My Density Matters and partners.
So, I asked the Spirit: “What do you want from me?”
The answer was immediate: “Trust”
Hmm, I’ll be honest, I was hoping for a 5-step plan. Trust felt harder. So, I asked: “What is trust?”
This time, the answers came as two parallel phrases:
Truth Reveals Understanding Sorted in Time
Time Reveals Understanding Sorted in Truth
It left me with more questions, but maybe that’s the point. Sometimes, trust means looking inward for understanding, instead of outward for instructions.
A Note Card, A Nudge
Before heading to the Summit, I grabbed an index card and wrote in bold black sharpie: What can I do?
On the other side, I wrote notes of what I might say if given the chance to share about these projects. There wasn’t an opportunity to present, but I soon realized:
“Maybe this isn’t a stage moment—it’s a conversation moment.”
And so, I engaged in several meaningful one-on-one conversations.
Later, as the second-to-last speaker presented, she paused and said slowly: “What can I do?”
I looked down at my card and smiled. Then she repeated it: “What can I do?”
Sometimes the answers come back in ways we can’t miss.
What Can You Do?
This month, I invite you to ask yourself the same question:
What can I do?
👉 If you feel inspired, record a short video of yourself saying these words (What can I do) and send it to me. I’m creating a compilation to bring our voices together.
👉 Reach out if you’re interested in Women’s Health initiatives especially in the breast cancer and menopause space.
👉 Looking ahead: November is Compassion in Action Month. This could mean self-compassion, compassion toward others, or acts of care for our planet. There will be tools, events, and opportunities to participate globally. Let me know if you’re inspired to collaborate on this endeavor or simply fill out the Compassion Partner Form.
